Brian Carriere
Vice President, Reliability
Brian Carriere is vice president of reliability for Entergy Louisiana. In this role, he oversees the safe, reliable operation and maintenance of the transmission and distribution systems while advancing grid resiliency and delivering operational excellence for customers across the state.
Carriere joined Entergy more than 25 years ago as a project management co-op student and has held leadership positions across engineering, transmission, distribution, project management and construction. Throughout his career, he has led the delivery of multibillion-dollar capital portfolios, developed enterprise-wide project management capabilities and played a key role in advancing Entergy’s transmission and distribution strategy.
Prior to his current role, Carriere served as vice president of project delivery and vice president of project construction management, where he oversaw transmission and distribution project management and construction across Entergy’s capital portfolio. He also previously served as director of distribution project management engineering and construction, senior manager of capital project management and technology, regional distribution design manager, and in several engineering and operations roles supporting transmission and distribution systems.
Throughout his career, Carriere has championed continuous improvement, contractor safety and execution excellence. He helped establish Entergy’s first distribution capital project management organization, led the development of the Alliance Partner model to efficiently scale capital investments, and supported major transmission initiatives, including Entergy’s first competitive FERC 1000 transmission bid and the delivery of some of the company’s largest transmission projects.
Carriere earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University.
