For Louisiana People

A culture of service and solidarity

Through our Entergy Louisiana 100 Plan, we are reaffirming our commitment to building stronger communities across our state by empowering employees to give back in meaningful ways. Our “People” pillar gets at the heart of this mission, focused on engaging our workforce as active, invested members of Louisiana’s neighborhoods. Our 5,000-plus employees working and living in Louisiana are focused on driving positive, tangible change for our customers and their communities.

Paid time off for community service

Our employees care deeply about the well-being of the communities where they live and work, that’s why we’re giving back each and every day. As part of our People commitment, Entergy Louisiana provides paid time off that allows employees to volunteer with local organizations and initiatives. This program provides our team members with a designated amount of paid time each year to pursue volunteer opportunities that support the causes closest to them, enhancing a culture of service and solidarity within our workforce.

This approach is built on our belief that meaningful volunteer work is a win-win for everyone: Employees feel more connected and fulfilled, nonprofits receive crucial support, and our communities thrive as a result. By removing barriers that might otherwise prevent our employees from volunteering, we’re enabling them to be changemakers within Louisiana.

Delivering $100,000 in labor value to Louisiana nonprofits every month

Beyond the individual impact of each employee’s volunteer work, Entergy Louisiana has set an ambitious target to deliver an estimated $100,000 in labor value each month to Louisiana nonprofits. By dedicating the equivalent of over a million dollars in labor annually, we’re enhancing our support of essential services and programs that benefit Louisiana residents, such as food security, disaster recovery, education, environmental conservation and healthcare access.

This level of support amplifies the reach and impact of our state’s nonprofits. By connecting employee volunteers with strategic service opportunities, we ensure their skills and efforts directly support Louisiana’s most pressing needs. Furthermore, our program is structured to strengthen partnerships with community organizations, helping them extend their reach, build capacity and drive progress that lasts.

A culture of connection and purpose

Our commitment to volunteerism is not just about the impact on the community; it’s about fostering a culture that champions connection, purpose and collective responsibility. When employees volunteer, they gain skills, develop empathy and bring that same dedication and focus back to their work. By embracing a model where community engagement is integrated into our company’s core values, we’re setting a foundation for long-term success, both within our workforce and across Louisiana.

Through these efforts, we envision an Entergy Louisiana that is as much a part of the community as the customers we serve. We are investing in people – our employees, our partners and our communities. Together, through shared dedication and resources, we are building a stronger, more resilient Louisiana for all.
