Entergy Louisiana’s Large Commercial and Industrial Solutions program helps business owners and facility managers identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and reduce operating costs. Through incentives for eligible upgrades with proven energy savings, your organization can invest in improvements that lower maintenance expenses, enhance building performance, increase occupant satisfaction and boost asset value.
Designed for organizations with an average monthly demand of more than 100 kW, this program provides tailored support to help facilities achieve meaningful energy savings while strengthening their bottom line. Trade ally network
Entergy Louisiana partners with a variety of local businesses that perform work for the energy efficiency programs. Please note that it is common practice for our authorized trade allies serving your community to knock on doors or leave material to offer the services provided by these programs. Authorized trade allies wear Entergy Solutions badges that include their photo, name and company name.
Prescriptive Solutions
Get prescriptive incentives on common energy-efficiency technologies. These one-to-one equipment upgrades include:
- Lighting (retrofit and new construction) – including ENERGY STAR® or DLC-certified interior and exterior LEDs and other high-performance lighting
- Food service equipment – including ENERGY STAR® or CEE-certified fat fryers, steam cookers, holding cabinets, griddles, ovens, refrigerators and freezers
- Heating, ventilation and cooling systems – including unitary air conditioners and heat pumps and HVAC chillers
- Oil, gas and agriculture equipment – including variable frequency drives for fans and pumps
Custom Solutions
Custom incentives are available for energy-efficiency projects that fall outside our standard prescriptive offerings, including unique equipment upgrades, system improvements, and more complex facility projects. To qualify, projects must demonstrate measurable and verifiable energy savings.
Because every custom project is different, incentive amounts are determined on a case-by-case basis based on the projected energy savings and overall project scope.
Custom and agricultural projects can earn incentives of up to $0.27 per kWh saved.
How to participate
Getting started is simple. Our team and approved trade allies will guide you through each step of the process, from project review to incentive payment.
- Submit your application – Complete and submit the required application and supporting documentation.
- Complete project review and pre-inspection – An approved trade ally will conduct a no-cost technology review and pre-installation inspection to verify eligibility and projected energy savings
- Receive pre-approval – Once your project is approved, you can move forward with ordering and installation of equipment. Pre-approval is required prior to ordering equipment. Lead times may vary for different types of equipment.
- Install eligible equipment – Complete the installation of qualifying energy-efficient equipment and upgrades
- Complete post-installation inspection – After the work is complete, a final inspection is performed to confirm the project was installed as approved
- Receive your incentive – Following verification, your incentive payment will be processed and issued.
How much can your business receive?
Eligible large commercial and industrial businesses can receive up to $300,000 in incentives per calendar year under a single Federal Tax ID. To help share program funding fairly, incentives cannot exceed 50% of the total project cost or the cost of the qualifying measure.
These incentives are designed to help offset the cost of energy-efficient upgrades, improve operational performance and lower long-term energy expenses while supporting a strong return on investment.
