a proven economic development tool that every Louisiana community should know
about. The program is based on the principle that the community that has
carefully prepared itself for growth has the best chance of obtaining and
sustaining economic prosperity.

largest, most aggressive and successful economic development organizations in
the region. Teamwork Louisiana helps coordinate the efforts of government,
private enterprise, the work force and educational and financial
infrastructures. It provides information, experience and practical marketing
support to help win the competition for business and jobs. And it works; it
has directly contributed to bringing tens of thousands of new jobs to the
state since its formation.

A Game Plan for Success

Step 1: Assessment

Entergy will work with you to assemble a committee to study your growth
potential. You'll collect and analyze data on a broad range of key economic
development factors in your community.

You'll use what you've learned in your community assessment to set short and
long range goals based on your real needs, your real strengths and realistic
priorities.

Step 3: Training

You'll select a team of leaders to market your community and achieve your
goals. Entergy's development professionals will provide in-depth training.

Step 4: Profile

Your community marketing team will gather data and develop your community
profile. You'll catalog available buildings and sites, and create an existing
industry program.

Step 5: Designation

In a civic ceremony, your community will officially de designated a Team City.
Now you're prepared to compete for new business and more jobs.

Team Cities benefit from a wide-ranging support from Entergy, including help
with marketing activities, direct mail projects, matching grants and economic
development education scholarships.

Team Cities requalify every two years, undergoing reviews of sites and
buildings, business retention and development plans, retraining, and updating
goals and objectives.
